Local businesses have been hit in a harsh and unexpected way due to the Covid 19 pandemic. The Internet Company has the opportunity to help companies that are in a difficult economical situation. That’s why we’ve decided to outsource most of our logistic chain’s processes to them.
The event industry has been the first affected by the pandemic in Switzerland as crowd limitation has been introduced since the beginning of lock-down. They are also the forgotten companies by the general public as most of the focus is on restauration and proximity stores. “I had no contracts since march, and we might not have any until the end of the year as people are still afraid to organise events”, said David Marki, CEO of Underground Sound. The fear of a second wave is high as events are not considered as an endangered sector. Companies like UDG Sound suffer highly from the pandemic without the help they need.
The Internet Company is still trying to include more businesses that are affected by the Covid-19, “we would like to outsource logistical and delivery processes on a wider scale” – Lionel Pham.
Those partnerships will last until the companies which are chosen will be back in business, and as long The Internet Company will have demand. “Our community masks are making a huge difference on a local scale, on the ecological (reusable) aspect as much as on the economical one, and will make a difference as long as the pandemic lasts. We know that when the pandemic will be over we won’t need their help anymore and their businesses will be back on track” – Lionel Pham
